Introduction to MSc Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy, MSc Exercise & Sports Medicine (Football) and MSc High Performance Sport

Our Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy MSc programme enables exploration of the theoretical basis of manipulative/musculoskeletal physiotherapy and its application to the development of your clinical reasoning for advanced clinical practice. Using the process of clinical reasoning as its framework, this programme integrates many approaches to clincal practice in this specialist area. It facilitates an evaluation of existing evidence and your clinical experiences through the exploration of the assessment and management of clinial presentations of musculoskeletal complaints. 

Our Exercise and Sport Sciences MRes combines taught and research elements to equip you with the scientific understanding and practical skills to address current societal issues in sport, exercise and rehabilitation. This combined research and taught masters programme provides students with a research orientated training in the practical, theoretical and applied elements of Exercise and Sport Sciences.

Our MSc High Performance Sport programme will develop your ability to work with contemporary hardware and software, linked to training and testing when working with athletes, understand advanced periodisation models and develop athletes in a high-performance setting.  Working with staff from world leading School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences as well as external experts embedded in industry you will also develop the ability to critically reflect on your philosophy, practice and organisational context and through research activities increase your competence in knowledge generation and implementation.
