  1. What was your motivation for undertaking postgraduate study?

After several years of working in the engineering sector, I decided it was time to shift my career into a different path. I needed something that will motivate me to make a significant difference, something that will challenge me to become better and evolve as a professional.

My interest in International Business kindled while working for the European Investment Bank. It gave me an insight into the value of work within an international organization and underlined my determination to work within the field of international development.

But to achieve that, a solid background was needed, and this is why I chose to study MSc in International Business at the University of Birmingham.

  2. What, for you, are the best things about the course?

2020 was a rather peculiar year because the way the course was delivered was a mix of online and offline lectures/seminars, however the University of Birmingham managed to deliver an excellent quality of classes.

Each and every course in International Business is tailored to prepare you for your future endeavors in the professional world. One of the best things about IB is the fact that it gave me the chance to work with people from all around the world. I had the pleasure of engaging and participate in discussions, workshops and events that helped me to not only get a deep insight into International Business as a whole, but to also understand how other people think and act.

The assistance from Business School is also truly astounding. Events, career workshops, and career counselling are only a small part of the total support one gets from the University of Birmingham, and it really makes you appreciate all the hard effort the University puts in order to help every student succeed in his future career.
