I decided to study this Masters programme because I wanted to develop my knowledge in a field that my undergraduate degree had touched upon. This programme is therefore allowing me to explore my interests in greater detail before commencing further research through a PhD. Completing a Masters programme at such a prestigious institution is also very beneficial when applying to jobs and allows me to be a more competitive applicant in the future.

What, for you, are the best things about the course?
The course usually has a relatively small cohort. This creates an intimate learning environment in which the staff are keen to get to know and to support each student. The course also offers a unique learning experience as the lecturers are at the top of their fields and many are involved in world-leading research.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering postgraduate study in your field?
The medical school has many postgraduate courses on offer, so familiarise yourself with them all to find out which course best suits your interests. I would also recommend talking to the admissions staff and programme directors before commencing your studies, as they have been very helpful in my experience.
